After the rain or as snow melts, a creek runs in and out of this trail about 8 times making it a perfect trail to cool off and get wet. Even when the creek dries up it’s a beautiful trail with tall trees on either side.

Pactola Lake is the largest reservoir in the Black Hills of South Dakota, United States. Facilities include a marina, improved swimming beach, campgrounds and group campground on the south shore, campgrounds and a handicapped fishing path on the north shore, and various picnic and overlook areas.

Sheridan Lake, a reservoir, is located on Spring Creek in Pennington County, South Dakota. Facilities include a marina, improved swimming beach, campground and group campground on the North Shore; campgrounds and swimming beach on the South Shore; and various picnic and overlook areas. The dam across Spring Creek is very small and accessible only on foot.
